‘Ali and Toumani’ to be released in February 2010

‘Ali and Toumani’, due for release in February 2010, captures Ali Farka Touré’s last studio session with Toumani Diabaté. Recorded in 2005, and also featuring the late Orlando 'Cachaíto' López on bass, the album promises to be a beautiful record of a very moving collaboration between two of Mali’s master musicians. A digital single 'Kala Djula' is out now.

Wow. This looks truly amazing. I think In the Heart of the Moon captured the hearts of many, and we will be lucky to have more of this great music. I can't think of a better bassist to join these two masters than Cachaito. Wow.
