From Segou to Seattle: Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni ba head for the US in 2010

Mali’s celebrated ngoni maestro Bassekou Kouyate will be the first artist on Next Ambience, a new world music imprint from Sub Pop, the acclaimed indie rock label which launched artists such as Nirvana, Fleet Foxes and Iron & Wine. The release of I Speak Fula is set for February 2010 when Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba will head out on a major tour of the US of over 60 dates.
