A little bath, an all-night party ...reasons to visit Paris in July

Two very good reasons to visit Paris in July:

6 July 2011 marks the opening of a very cool new cultural centre in Paris: Petit Bain. A floating music venue on the Seine (right next door to the Joséphine Baker swimming pool), Petit Bain has a panoramic restaurant, bar and...a vegetable garden. It’s also a social enterprise with a multi-media training centre (from sound engineering to bicycle repair). Their inaugural music programme features some great tropical nights including Kumbia Queers, Axel Krygier, Hugo Mendez (Sofrito) and Sistema Criolina. So come on in, the water’s lovely.

And on the 8 July 2011 Mondomix is throwing a party to celebrate...Mondomix ! and all the music we love to share with you. So come to Cabaret Sauvage, support Mondomix and dance your socks off til dawn.

For 13 years Mondomix has been committed to covering worldwide music and culture. Operations began out of a shipping container in a car-park on the outskirts of Paris, today Mondomix is at the heart of a vital cultural hub.

Mondomix gives a rare platform to music from all over the world. The artists we cover do not often get exposure in mainstream media. Their work is the sound of diversity. And our work gives a global audience the chance to experience worldwide culture in a way which in 1998 was pioneering and in 2011 is more essential than ever.

We put the highest value on culture while delivering our content for free, and in today’s tough economic climate we have to fight to keep it that way. Tonight we are inviting you to a special event to support Mondomix and celebrate the music which is behind everything we do.
