Kutiman's Favorite Color

In 2009, Israeli producer Kutiman (aka Ophir Kutiel) became one of the stars of music on the web when he posted his ThruYOU project. The 7 original songs were his video edits of unrelated YouTube clips, mashing together amateur solo players into his own virtual band of lo-fi dreamers. It was innovative and engaging stuff and with over ten million views, Kutiman’s project had clearly struck a chord. In webby world, where everyone seems to be chasing the digital dollar, his work was made for fun not profit and stood out as a genuine celebration of creativity, his own and that of his unwitting, but fully credited, collaborators.

Two years later and with various awards and accolades along the way (Time Magazine, Webby, YouTube's Creative Video Biennale…), Kutiman is back with a soulful new track. It’s spring people, here’s an ode to green:
