Etienne Mbappé, 2004

After years as a key bass player for top French jazz and pop bands, Mbappé released his first solo album “Misiya”. We met shortly after its release as he prepared for his 2005 tours which feature songs from the CD.




Mbappé bared his heart, soul and mind to write his first solo album. This musical journey included a voyage of initiation to Cameroon with his son. That return inspired the title track “Misiya”.
