Richie Havens

Never to be forgotten for his blazing opening performance at Woodstock, Richie Havens is a jazz folk-rock artist hailing from New York. His smoky voice and powerful melodies have made him a favourite of his genre for many years. This rapid guitar strummer and part-time ecological campaigner received an American Eagle Award from The National Music Council in 2003 for his contribution to American music.
