Le producteur électro réunionnais Jako Maron s’approprie 40 ans après sa création Sitarane Larivé. Ecrit et popularisé par le “Prince du Séga” Michel Admette, ce titre rendait hommage à Sitarane, un brigand de grand chemin, buveur de sang, originaire du Mozambique qui terrorisa les habitants de Saint-Pierre au début du siècle dernier. Condamné à mort et executé, il fait l’objet aujourd’hui encore d’un véritable culte à la Réunion.Ce cover clipé par Boogie & Kid Kreol est disponible sur un EP agrémenté de remixes signés Costa (Zong), Arash Khalatbari (ex-Ekova), Psychorigid et Automat avec qui Jako a déjà signé une version dub d’un titre de Danyel Waro, le chantre du maloya.
